ABOUT
Ester Petukhova is a painter and researcher describing asynchronous post-Soviet stories, histories, and futures through image-making. With the use of CNC routed wood-work, collage, paint, and drawing, Petukhova slices into physically and digitally collected materials in an effort to transform their futurity. Petukhova received her Bachelors in Fine Arts alongside a Minor in Russian Studies at Carnegie Mellon University (2023), and has studied at Yale University’s: Norfolk School of Art (2022), Rhode Island School of Design (2018), New York University (2017), and the Pacific Northwest College of Art (2016-2017).
